Since the late 80th when international educational systems was first introduced in the middle East and North Africa. It provided the Arab youth with an opportunity to access high quality education that promotes the students thinking abilities and intelligence.
However with the increasing requirements to enter a college and the ability to get accepted in a university it became difficult for students to keep up with playing sports and actually many international high schools provide greater importance to the academic success on the expense of physical education ignoring the fact that sports are as importantas educational success, as high quality physical education
can encourage young people to develop knowledge, understanding and skills across a range of physical education, sport and health enhancing experiences. More than that, it can develop in them the desire and commitment to continue to enjoy, improve and achieve in line with their own personal capacities throughout their lifetime.
Therefore, BESA will be organizing local and regional sports tournament (The British Trophy) to promote physical education to fill this gap between education and sports especially, international high schools. As together we can encourage students to seek their talents through sports and show it to world.
