Studying in Hungary is highly-favored by many international students, as there are already more than 25 universities in Hungary along with a number of colleges that offer full bachelor's degree programs. The first university in Hungary was established more than 600 years ago. Today the number of universities and colleges - both state and non-state (private and religious, recognized by the state) are over ten in Budapest only, many of them offer graduate (B.Sc.) and post graduate (M.Sc., Ph.D., DLA) programs in English.

Work while studying:
With a residence permit for the purpose of study, students can work for 24 hours per week during term-time and for a maximum of 90 days or 66 working days per year outside the term time. In this case, a work permit or residence permit for the purpose of employment would not necessary, however the youngest age allowed for work placement in Hungary is 15. Students under 18 are not allowed to work more than 8 hours a day, with a maximum number of 40 hours per week. Students will be entitled to a 30 minute break during a 4.5 hours work.
