Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Student Counsellors/Advisors to join our team in Pakistan. The Student Counsellor/Advisor will be responsible for providing expert guidance to students and their families about study abroad opportunities, assisting with the application process, and supporting students throughout their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and a strong sales orientation.
Accountabilities, Responsibilities, and Duties:
All enquiries received in person or by mail/e-mail are dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. This includes all enquiries whether face to face, email, online and telephone. All enquiries (written and oral) are responded to according to Customer Service Excellence standards and always work to exceed customer satisfaction.
1. Counseling and Advising Services
Provide BESA Group customers, including students and parents, with accurate and professional counselling and
advising services to help students choose the best suitable study program and university that meets their
academic and financial capabilities.
- Assist students with their university applications, including gathering and preparing required documents for their choice of programs.
- Assist students with their visa applications and prepare them for embassy interviews.
- Identify new techniques to convert leads into successful applications.
- Contact overseas leads to convert them into deals.
- Assist the marketing team in preparing and organizing meetings and presentations at international schools.
2. Customer Service Delivery
Assist with the delivery of BESA Group services to corporate standards, meeting the needs of internal and external customers to achieve agreed annual targets.
- Respond to all types of customer inquiries face-to-face, telephone, emails, and virtual platforms according to Customer Service Excellence standards.
- Help organize and participate in all BESA Group events and activities, including educational fairs.
- Ensure contacts database is maintained accurately and up-to-date on the CRM.
- Ensure all marketing materials and displays are up-to-date and appropriately presented.
3. Event Management
Assist in organizing educational fairs and other promotional events, ensuring successful execution from planning to post-event evaluation.
- Choose appropriate venues for events, negotiate venue fees, and manage logistics.
- Promote events through various marketing channels to maximize attendance and engagement.
4. Relationship Building
Support in developing and maintaining relationships with international and private schools in Pakistan to promote BESA Group’s services.
- Organize and conduct presentations at international schools for students wishing to study abroad.
5. Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and application databases.
- Prepare regular reports on counselling activities, student applications, and sales performance.
- Register customers and collect administrative fees where required.
- Use relevant systems to maintain records and complete daily reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counselling, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in student counselling, sales, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of the education market in Pakistan and study abroad processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in English and Urdu is required.
- Sales-driven with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Additional Skills:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of visa application procedures is a plus.
Other Important Features:
Be prepared to work unsocial or varied hours to ensure high standards and appropriate customer service; flexible working hours.
- The customer service may operate 6 days a week, from morning to evening. The job holder will be expected to work in some evenings according to schedule.
- The postholder will work on a 5-day week shift basis and is entitled to 2 days off, which may not be consecutive.
- Flexibility in adjusting hours of work is essential when there is an operational need to do so.
